They Disconnected His Internet - 4th September 2021 - Australia.
Rumour on a chat site. Australia will make its citizens submit their ID for social media access. Bloody hell, The natural reaction is to ‘just not use the service, stuff ‘em’… but they know that it’s now the no 1-way dissent is organised. It’s really horrible and creepy. I think the only way to deal with this is not to use it to discuss anything important. I was listening to Max Igan yesterday saying that there is some activist in NZ who they arrested same time as Monica (actually, there were a few). The guy is under a 'stay at home order'... banned from using any device that connects to the internet. So he is allowed to use a 'landline telephone'… I was thinking this through. Our work is on our computers. They would have seized everything but could have been left with his computer but no 'modem'? The creepiness of this sends shivers. Thought police. So they have pushed him back to 'a word processor or a manual typewriter, a newspaper if someone brings it to him, and anyway what’s in the newspapers? (Cocky shit tray material, full of propaganda). Or I guess he can watch the television (and what’s on the tele?) Fascinating ... and they randomly go to his house to check he is there. Max telephoned him (like the olden days). They were good days compared to what’s going on now. They better be careful what they wish for. I would be happy if it all collapsed, to be honest. It would fuck all their power off ... but it would be nice to be able to have a telephone with a cable to chat now and again. I do miss the sound of a clicking typewriter.
